Piero Osilio, the sporting director of Inter Milan, revealed that the
Nerazzurri did not enter a race to include Lionel Messi,
the Barcelona legend, during the current summer transfer period.
But Osilio confirmed that this step is not realistic, and told the “Sky Sports Italia”
network Tuesday evening: “There is nothing about Messi, and I do not even know where these ideas come from.”
He added: “No one in football does not want Messi, but in reality we will not take this step.”
For his part, the Argentine has been linked to Lautaro Martinez, the Inter Milan striker,
with a move to Barcelona during the current summer Mercato, but Osilio confirmed that the Blaugrana did not enter into talks with the Nerazzurri.
And Osilio spoke of the 22-year-old: “No negotiations have started on Lautaro Martinez,
because in reality nothing ever happened, we did not start the negotiations from the ground up.”
