Koeman: Getafe player Neom insulted me… I don’t know if there is a “VAR” or not.

Barcelona lost 1-0 to Getafe in the meeting that brought both teams together on Saturday night at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in the sixth round of the Spanish League Championship, and Dutch coach Ronald Koeman, Barcelona coach, made several statements after the end of the match, blaming the video arbitration technique, saying: “I do not know if it is present tonight or not.”

Ronald Koeman analyzed his team’s defeat. He continued: “It was a very difficult match against a very strong opponent like Getafe. We had several chances, especially in the first half, one of them with Griezmann’s feet, but it did not find the net.”

“There are no excuses,” Koman added. “In fact, we had bad luck in the match, but we did not lose for this reason. We got very few chances. We pushed many offensive elements, but we did not succeed in the front line.”

With regard to the arbitration performance, Koeman stated: “I do not like to talk about the referee.

If you see the match, errors and cards, you can extract your results. The referee stopped the match a lot, and this cost us a lot.”

When asked what he said to Bordalas, Getafe coach, after the match ended, Ronald Koeman replied:

“I told him that his player Alan Neom insulted me and said ugly words to me.”

As for the performance of Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, he said: “There are some players like Lionel, Griezmann and Fati who can play in many positions.

This feature is important. If we scored first, the match would have changed.”

Ronald Koeman spoke of Pedri’s performance, stating: “He played a good match.

I wanted Coutinho to get a rest. Pedri shows that he has a position in the Barcelona squad.”

Ronald Koeman concluded his speech, referring to the roughness of Getafe’s players, saying: “I do not want to talk about this.

There are arena referees, flag referees, and fleeing referees, yet I do not know if there is video technology today or not.”
