Since his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar has lived a history of
trauma in his clashes against Olympique de Marseille, whether in the league or the cup.
The last of those traumas was what happened during Sunday’s match between his team and rivals Marseille,
which ended with the dismissal of 5 players and the obtaining of 12 others receiving yellow cards.
Marseille was a guest to Paris Saint-Germain in the third round match of the French League championship, and the match ended in favor of the guests with a goal without a response.
During the last minute of stoppage time and a few seconds before the end of the match,
a crisis flared up between the players of the two teams and resulted in Levin Kurzawa and Leandro Paredes of Paris duo,
Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto, the Marseille players, on red cards.
Neymar received a red card immediately after the referee used video technology,
which proved the Brazilian star’s attack on Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez, to complete the black history against the French rivals.
Neymar moved to the Princes’ Stadium at the beginning of the 17/18 season, from Barcelona after the management of the Parisian club paid the value of the penalty clause concluded in the Brazilian contract, which was estimated at 222 million euros.
Since Neymar wore the Parisian club shirt, the Brazilian has played 86
matches in various tournaments (scoring 70 goals and making 41 successful passes),
and with his French club, he has won many local championships: the French League (3 times), the French Cup (twice), the League Cup ( Twice) and domestic super (twice).
