Barcelona defeated Jimnastika 3-1 at Barça’s “Johan Cruyff” training stadium on Saturday night,
in the team’s first friendly experiences in preparation for the new season of the Spanish League 2020/2021.
Barca’s goals in the match were scored by Othman Dembele and Antoine
Griezmann from a penalty kick and Philip Coutinho from a penalty kick in
the minutes 6, 17 and 51,
while Javier Bonilla Sevilliano scored Gimnastika’s
only goal in the 31st minute.
Argentine star Lionel Messi, the Barcelona legend, participated in the match
after the end of the crisis asking him to leave the Catalan club,
while Luis Suarez
and Arturo Vidal were absent to resolve their position on
leaving this summer,
along with Ansu Fati due to injury.
The match witnessed the start of the era of the new coach, Ronald Koeman,
who relied on two different teams in each half,
in order to give the opportunity to all the young players and elements,
led by the trio Trinaco, Pedri and Ricky Puig.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona will play its second friendly experience next Wednesday against Girona,
and it is scheduled to open its campaign in La Liga on September 27th by
facing Villarreal at Camp Nou in the third round of the competition.
