Barcelona club officials are trying to persuade the Dutch coach, Ronald
Koeman, to change his view on the target name to support the team’s midfield during the current transfer period.
According to the German newspaper “Bild”, Koeman informed the
management of the Catalan club of his desire to sign his compatriot Georginio Wijnaldum, the Liverpool midfielder, especially after his brilliance under his leadership in the Dutch national team.
But the Barcelona administration is seeking to contract with Thiago
Alcantara, the German player of Bayern Munich, who grew up in the
Barcelona academy, and played in the first team jersey until 2013,
before moving to the Bavarian club for 25 million euros.
In the event that Barcelona moves towards contracting Thiago Alcantara, the club will enter into conflict with his English counterpart, Liverpool, who has come close to signing the Spanish midfielder, and has already begun negotiations with Bayern Munich.
Koeman took over Barcelona last month, following the dismissal of former
coach Quique Setien, in the wake of a disastrous season, which ended with
Barcelona knocking out the Champions League quarter-finals, after losing 8-2 to Bayern Munich.

A cheater in the England national team
Roy Kane described what England player James Ward Prause did when he spoiled the penalty spot before Iceland paid a penalty as a “cheating” by the player.
