According to the Portuguese Federation, the 35-year-old suffers from an infection in one of the right toes, so he was absent from the national team’s training.

The federation did not announce how long Ronaldo would need to recover,
and that the injury would be assessed on a daily basis.
It is worth noting that Portugal – holder of the first edition title – is in Group
Three, accompanied by Croatia, France and Sweden.
